George Austin
George received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee in Political Science. In 2001, he graduated from Western Carolina University with a master’s degree in Accountancy and has over ten years of experience in public accounting. He is a licensed CPA in North Carolina and a member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants.
George is a 1999 graduate of the Wendelstedt Umpire School and former AM radio high school football analyst. He is a native of the Smoky Mountains and enjoys the outdoors, travel, and his two children… sometimes.

Joel Chambers
Joel attended the University of South Carolina and graduated with a double major in Philosophy and Literature. He earned his Master of Accountancy degree from Western Carolina University in 2003 and has ten years of experience in public accounting. Joel is a member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants. Prior to his accounting career, Joel spent ten years with Dow Jones & Company, Inc., working primarily with The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones Financial News.
Forever an Eagle Scout, Joel is a past President of Western North Carolina’s Daniel Boone Council, BSA and continues to serve on the Executive Board. He knows all the secret handshakes and can still tie most of the Scouting knots. Joel is an avid mountain biker and enjoys hiking, camping, kayaking and other outdoor activities.

Jonathan Thompson
Jonathan received his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Tennessee in 2010. He earned his Master of Accountancy degree from Colorado State University in 2011 and has over 12 years of experience in public accounting. He is a licensed CPA in North Carolina and is a member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants.
Jonathan is originally from the southeast, but prior to moving to North Carolina he spent a few years on the other side of old man river in the Colorado rockies. Outside of the office, you can find Jonathan spending time with his wife & 2 kids. They enjoy traveling & the numerous outdoor activities that WNC has to offer.

Jessi Adams
Jessi attended the University of Tennessee and received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She continued on to earn her master’s degree in Accountancy and has over ten years of experience in public accounting. She is a licensed CPA in North Carolina and a member of the NCACPA.
Jessi is originally from Nashville and enjoys visiting family there. In addition to spending time with her family, she enjoys training Brazilian jiu jitsu, practicing guitar, and riding her mini bike.

Justin Byrd
Justin received his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of North Carolina Asheville and has over two years of public accounting experience. Justin is a CPA candidate who is actively studying to pass the CPA exam.
A WNC local, Justin enjoys mountain biking and spending time outdoors as well as the company of family and his two cats.

Rebecca Dawdy
Rebecca joined the world of public accounting 20 years ago with her first job out of college. While her true passion is bookkeeping and teaching people how to master QuickBooks, she has also spent many of these years in corporate tax preparation and trust accounting. Rebecca, being raised a military brat, has a list of places far too long for this bio of where she is from. She is super excited to have landed here in the Blue Ridge Mountains and to now call Asheville home. When she is not busy trying to convince her far flung family to relocate with her, she loves to travel but is happiest when walking in the woods with her fluffy little dog Gizmo.

Jordan Gregg
Jordan is our office manager at Austin CPA. He oversees the front desk and is the primary contact for picking up tax returns, drop-offs, taking payments, and answering the main phone line. Jordan has a dedication to customer service and has 5 years of client facing experience. In his free time, Jordan enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and biking with his partner, as well as watching movies, and playing with their three cats.

Charlotte Eyraud
Charlotte is a Georgia based CPA who, after six years of dealing with audits, payroll, bookkeeping, and taxes decided to throw everything out the window but taxes.
She enjoys hiking through the outdoors, playing video and tabletop games with friends and family, and reading by the fireplace with her cat on her lap.
